Once Coupa went live and we started to receive invoices there were several that "kicked" off invoicing tolerances which AP had to manually review. This means either the quantity or price was different from the PO to the invoice or that NPL was being billed an excessive amount of shipping, handling, tax, or freight. In this case the tolerance occurred multiple times because the supplier was charging NPL a higher amount than the contracted prices we had setup in our catalog! Having this control in place allowed us to immediately contact the supplier to correct our pricing and submit new invoices in turn saving NPL several hundred dollars on just a few orders. This is just one of many benefits that Coupa will be providing NPL.
